Last summer, Ninantic Labs released Pokémon GO and users all over the world scrambled to download the app. Players gathered together with their mobile device and set off on hiking trails, beaches, parks, malls, etc to literally “catch ’em all.” The app saw huge success within the first few months, but unfortunately lost a third of it’s players by August.

Over the last several months the game has struggled to hold it’s players since it’s initial launch. Pokémon GO’s parent company, Niantic Labs released many different events during the last several months(Halloween, Thanksgiving, Holiday, Valentine’s Day), but they were not enough to bring players back. Many users and former players cried out for the release of new Pokémon and now the long wait is finally over. A new update was released and it includes 80 new  Pokémon from generation 2.
